Sent: Wednesday, January 02, 2008 1:08 PM Subject: Comments on Malibu Lake House Wanted to send a message to let anybody interested in renting "The Malibu Lake House" know what a wonderful place it really is. Our family spent the week of July 4th there this past year to play at The All-Star Village and it was an experience of a lifetime. Beautiful home, beautiful location, and so very relaxing. My sons will never forget the fishing that we had there on the lake and my wife and I can never forget the serene tranquility of the location. We cannot wait to have my 5 year old grow old enough to play a Cooperstown tournament to get back to the Malibu Lake House! Best trip we ever had, thank you at Cooperstown Lodging as well as the owner of the home for her kindness and generosity. As far as we're concerned we would consider no other place to stay and no other booking agent to help us. The house was such a nice place it almost overshadows that the boys (SGV Cobras from California) played well enough during the week to make it all the way to the championship game, and finish runners up. We stayed at the Blue House the week of June 22-29th with another family. I must say it was like being at home! We had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We were able to cook, do our laundry, and sleep wonderfully. The house was extremely cozy and just minutes from all the parks. One of the nicest things was the hospitality of the owners. It is such a cute place with so much charm. We felt right at home. The owners, Susan and Ed were very helpful with information about the area. New Yorkers are such friendly people. Just a short note to let you know what a wonderful time we had at Cooperstown Dreams Park and Kenyon Acres the week of Aug 11 to Aug 18. As a grandparent, all I can say is that it was "AWESOME". After our first house was damaged by flooding at DuckAway and you called me to tell me that the house we rented was unavailable, I didn't know what to expect. but Kenyon Acres was absolutely gorgeous, the scenery was beautiful. I wish we had more time to spend there. We met the DiSimmones who were very nice. We had a few nice conversations with them. Our team came in 44th place which was very good and an Illinois team did win the tournament, so that was great. My grandson played very well. He hit 6 homeruns during the course of the week. We are very proud of him and he had the experience and a thrill of a lifetime.
Kenyon Acres was so beautiful we didn't want to come home. Maybe another grandson will go to Cooperstown and we can come again. Some of the parents rented trailers in a trailer park and the horror stories we heard you wouldn't believe. So we were very lucky for you to have found this for us. Thank you again.

Being from California, We have never got to experience "lighting bugs" other than playing in Cooperstown Dreams Park I'd have to say that was our fondest memory! Don, (The Owner) was over accommodating. We know he went through allot before we got there with all the floods, and we appreciate everything he did to make us feel welcome in his home! Joe and Jennifer could not have been nicer! The house was perfect for us! Nice and clean plus close proximity to Oneonta College where our children were playing. (Less than 5 min.)  Your area of the country is beautiful!

Thank you soooo much for your assistance as some of our baseball families rented the Ballentine and Theresa Martin Retreat Homes.

Hello Donna,

Cooperstown was great. My son had a fantastic time even though his team only won two games. The house we rented was fantastic, clean, comfortable and close to the fields and surrounding attractions. We enjoyed our stay in the Clover Hill Farmhouse, plenty of clean towels, all kitchen utensils and sundries were present and plentiful. It is a
place we recommended to other families who plan to visit next season.

Just wanted to let you know that we all had a wonderful time in Cooperstown.  The house was perfect.  All the families that stayed with us said over and over what a great place we found.  

 Sitting on the patio watching deer running around in the mountains was awesome.  Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay while we were there.  The weather was soooooo great we wanted to put it in our suitcase and bring it home as we came home to 100 plus temperatures.  

 Thanks for all your help during our planning.  If we ever return your way I will definitely call you for housing.

Two years ago we made our reservations through another web service and
were thoroughly disappointed. Our accommodations were filthy! The home we
stayed in had broken windows and no locks on any of the doors. And get
this!!...There wasn't even a refrigerator in the house! You promised us that
at Cooperstown Lodging Co. we would not be disappointed and you were right!
We Loved the Jamaica Dream Farm! Our kids enjoyed the house as well as that
magnificent pond with diving board. We may be coming back next year. If we
do, you could bet that we will be sure to contact you Donna. Thanks Again

We have been coming to the Dreams Park for 2 years now, and each time we
had to supply our own linens in order to save some money. What a pain in the
neck it was to drive from Florida to NY with all that luggage and extra
bedding to boot. Not only were your homes more reasonable than the past 2 we
stayed in, we were thrilled to find out that everything we needed to be
comfortable was included, including BED LINENS! Thanks Donna! You made our
lives much simpler as well as you saved us a bundle. The Sherman-Sichler
home was just darling. We especially loved the wrap around porch. Each night
we would all sit out there and enjoy the cool breeze and the view of the
brook across the street. We will call you next year! That's a Promise!!

Hey Donna you were right! 10 miles in Central NY does only take 10
minutes to drive. We are glad we listened to your advice. By staying in the
Carriage House Apartment, we were able to save over $500. Also, you
described the home to a tee. There were no added surprises when we arrived.
